NNPBC proudly highlights Kathy Le for her exceptional work authoring the June 2025 Issues Brief on Aging in Place.

With deep expertise in gerontological nursing and health systems, Kathy explores the urgent need for transformative care approaches that support older adults in remaining safely and independently in their homes and communities.

She advocates for “aging in place” as a cost-effective, person-centered alternative—supported by coordinated health and social services, caregiver support, digital literacy, and culturally safe care. Importantly, Kathy highlights the critical role nurses play in leading policy change, care coordination, and community education to make aging in place a reality across BC.
