Land Acknowledgement
CNSABC respectfully acknowledges that our work takes place on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the Indigenous Peoples of British Columbia.
We recognize the 203 First Nations communities and the Métis and Inuit peoples who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial. We acknowledge the enduring relationship that Indigenous Peoples have with their traditional territories and the ongoing impact of colonization on their health and well-being.
Our Commitment to Reconciliation
As Clinical Nurse Specialists and leaders in healthcare, we bear a responsibility to address systemic racism and inequities in our health system. CNSABC is committed to:
- Upholding the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action related to health.
- Advocating for culturally safe, anti-racist care practices across all specialties.
- Amplifying Indigenous voices and leadership within nursing practice.
- Building relationships based on respect, reciprocity, and humility.
