Optimal Utilization of Advanced Practice Nursing Roles Action Team Closing

Optimal Utilization of Advanced Practice Nursing Roles Action Team Closing Members of the

Optimal Utilization of Advanced Practice Nursing Roles Action Team,

Our team was formed in 2010 when InspireNet was first launched to support the optimal utilization of APN roles, focusing on both CNS and NP roles.  We have created an electronic community of practice available for team members’ discussions, sharing of relevant research and literature as well as a review of past webinars, including a presentation on APN roles by Alba DiCenso.

Since its launch, the APN environment in BC has evolved and we are now at a point where it makes sense to close this Action Team. The research literature indicates [1] that communities of practice experience a life cycle with a natural wind‐down at some point.

As Team Leader, I extend my thanks to you for your involvement in this Action Team. The eCoP will remain available to you, but its membership will not increase beyond the current number of 102 people. Please feel free to continue to use the eCoP for discussion, sharing of current and relevant literature and connection with other team members.
